The
top model within the Eco range from Hozelock. This range incorporates
the features of the other Eco filters with the addition of
a Turbulator in the UV, a down pipe with Venturi to take the
water down to the bottom of the tank and a drain at the base
of the tank. The Turbulator increase the efficiency of the
UV, by even exposure of the water to the UV light. The fact
that the water is taken to the bottom of the tank and then
allowed to rise results in much of the waste settling out
in the bottom of the tank, this reduces the frequency of cleaning.
The Venturi is used to oxygenate the water to maximise bacterial
activity and the drain helps with the removal of the waste
that has built up in the bottom of the tank.
